I talked to the person at Best Buy and she recommended Office since I would be more used to it and it would be very compatible w/ Office on PC's, although some of the amazon reviews seem to indicate office has its own problems and iWork is fairly intuitive. The top reviews seem to be at different extremes. I was going to just get office but I noticed on amazon iWork '08 has a 4-star rating compared to a 3-star rating for the Mac version of Office. I have used appleworks in the past but thats probably not a couple yrs ago. I've never really used iWork before: I have always had PC's at home and used at Office and even though my high school has used macs, I usually use Word, Excel, and PP on them. So iWork is about $70 and Microsoft Office home is about $130. I have used appleworks in the past but thats probably not a couple.
